ZCube Braille Cube

I bought this cube as a novelty gift for my husband, who is blind. He uses braille so I thought this might be fun. However, the braille on this cube is barely readable. I can only just tell there is something there. My husband can just barely read the braille. The only positive is the inclusion or the number symbol, which is good in itself and lets you know which way up the braille is to read it correctly.
It does move fairly smoothly but it is essentially unusable for him. I wish I had chosen a textured one.
